Department of Economics focuses on the functioning system of the economy at national and international level, the market, government intervention in the economy, the effects of economic activities on issues such as cost, profit, employment, unemployment, inflation, growth and development. In this respect, the department aims to make sense of the changes in the economic, political, social and legal fields at national and international level.

The Department of Economics, which was established within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Muş Alparslan University in the 2011-2012 academic year, has a strong academic staff with 2 Professors, 5 Assistant Professors and 2 Research Assistants. The department consists of four departments. These are; “Economic Theory”, “Economic History”, “Economic Development and International Economics” and “Economic Policy”.

Our Department of Economics aims to educate students who have the knowledge and skills to think, analyze and interpret in basic areas such as micro, macro, international economics, economic growth and development. Students who graduate from the department find job opportunities in many public institutions and organizations and private sector.
